September 2008 The September 2008 issue of the American Staffing Association's Sections Spotlight newsletter featured a short article written by Paul Siker. The article addressed practical tips that can favorably impact recruiting calls to passive candidate prospects. Siker specifically touched on the the need for recruiters to be mindful of how they are being perceived by the recipients of these calls.

May 2008: On Monday, May 12th, Paul Siker presented "Cold Call Best Practices - Making Every Call A Great Call" in Philadelphia, at the Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association, an award winning chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management. The intent of the program was to demystify the cold calling process and demonstrate consultative selling and recruitment best practices that are inherent to engaging and building long-term, actionable relationships with passive candidate prospects.
April 2008: Paul Siker presented at the Georgia Association of Personnel Services (GAPS) Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on April 17th & 18th. Siker delivered two presentations, including, "When Bad Things Happen To Good Deals." This program conveys an array of methods that all recruiters can implement to tighten up key components of the candidate process to mitigate counter-offers, offer turn-downs, and other nasty surprises that can (and do) accelerate the rate at which recruiters age. February 2008: Paul Siker presented the full-day "High Impact Recruiting"© Public Seminar program in partnership with the Capital Area Staffing Association (CASA). Approximately 30 recruiters participated in this program which took place on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the St. Gregory Hotel in Washington, D.C. The program ran from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and was followed by a "Happy Hour" (After all, what's a recruiter training program without a "Happy Hour?") Like other "High Impact Recruiting" seminars, this one received top marks, as attendees gave the program an overall rating of 95 (on a 100 point scale). For more information about CASA, click here.
January 2008: New Training Offerings Announced for 2008. Starting in January 2008, Advanced Recruiting Trends will augment it's current training portfolio by launching several new instructor-led webinar training programs. These programs include: The "High Impact Recruiting Webinar" Training Program, a web-based derivative of our live Public Seminar program; Advanced Introductory (Cold) Calls, and, Crafting Compelling Job Postings. June 2007: Advanced Recruiting Trends exhibited at the 57th Annual SHRM Conference in Viva Las Vegas, NV, and promoted Paul Siker's book, "Proactive Recruiting In A War For Talent Economy."
